Waxtooth is very excited to present the “Falling Apart” release from Lukhash.
Falling Apart is an amazing fusion of 8-bit digital mayhem combined with tech-savvy electronic and slick rock riffs peppered with electro & dubstep elements that push the boundaries of multiple genres while coalescing into a thought-provoking opus of technological malaise. Are we progressing forward or drifting back? Only two ways to find out… on the dancefloor or in your headphones.
Lukhash is the latest artist to join the ever-growing Waxtooth roster, from across the pond in the UK. Hats off and pints up to all involved in pulling off this fantastic release, and put new shiz out on old formats.

Du point de vue du simple spectateur, le glitch est la porte d'entrée vers un spectacle visuel. Grâce à des manipulations absurdes et extraterrestres, le speedrunner accède à l'envers du décor, dans un monde liminal au pire, psychédélique au mieux. Dans son cinquième album GLITCH, LukHash emploie la même stratégie pour créer un spectacle musical. C'est une accumulation d'éléments hétéroclites — chiptune, dubstep, metal, jazz, amen breaks et j'en passe — et on a des étoiles plein les oreilles !

Contrairement à ce que le titre peut laisser croire, le Sound Interface Device de la Commodore 64 n'est pas la seule composante de C64 ReMIXed car LukHash le croise avec de l'electro. Par contre, cette compilation regroupe ses premières entrées dans un univers plus synthwave : c'est rythmé et super efficace ! Pour faire simple : prenez l'énergie contenue dans un pain de C4, multipliez là par seize et vous obtiendrez celle transmise par C64 ReMIXed. Cette compilation est aussi bonne que ça !

Dans THE OTHER SIDE, la première personne qui passe de l'autre côté, c'est LukHash. Désormais, l'intégralité de la musique est assistée par ordinateur : en plus de la chiptune et de la dubstep viennent se rajouter des chants cybernétiques ("THE OTHER SIDE", "ITAEWON", "SURVIVE") et des structures aussi rythmées que complexes ("ANDROID"). Il ne nous faudra que quelques secondes pour passer nous-mêmes de l'autre côté car c'est tout un monde électronique joyeux qui s'ouvre. Une petite merveille !

"Je ne vais pas me diviser en quatre pour te faire plaisir !" : ne dites pas cette phrase à LukHash car il fait justement l'inverse dans DEAD PIXELS, son premier album. Là où des artistes de chiptune compensent le fait d'être seul en passant au tout synthétique, l'artiste polonais voit grand. En plus d'assurer la partie électronique, il joue de la guitare et de la batterie avec un professionnalisme bluffant. LukHash pousse le sens du détail jusqu'à donner une production massive. Impressionnant !
